Today, I am thankful for computers and the internet. Oh, I know, they can be HUGE time wasters. Like all tools though, that is simply user error, and not a fault in the equipment. :)
I am thankful that I have a way to keep photos and videos of my family, to enjoy for many years. I am thankful that this technology allows me the opportunity to "talk" with people that I would otherwise never even knew existed.
I am thankful for all of the information that I have been able to gather, to know and understand more about God and the world that he created for us, and to have conversation about such things with wise (and sometimes unwise) people all over the world. I have a greater ability to learn about customs that I was not raised to know, and the opportunity to help support God's people who are also farther away, doing work that I am unable to go and do.
I am thankful that I can get a note from a family member, and it doesn't take days, weeks, or months to get here.
I am thankful for the opportunity to learn "lost" arts that women have kept alive all through the ages, and that enables me to teach my own children.

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Messiah, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2: 1-4
